QUESTION for o'day owners about a seat and a first trip

So i am located in jamaica Bay, can anyone recommend a first weekend trip thats not more than a couple hours away and thats easy to navigate to and has a lot of marinas to dock in overnight?

also, i want to make custom seats by my helm, any ideas?

Sheepshead Bay.....and you can grab a mooring from the Sheepshead Bay Yacht Club or the one next to it called Miramar Yacht Club

Sandy Hook Bay. You can pull into Atlantic Highlands Marina, Sandy Hook Marina, or anchor in Horseshoe Cove -- all very user-friendly.

As for custom helm seats (if I interpret your request correctly), I'll check photos of my old 272LE and see if I have any of the helm seat it came with, which was both utilitarian and comfy. I'll let you know if I find anything.

I checked the photos I have on my computer, and I'm sorry to say, most of the closeups of my old 272LE are nowhere to be found. If I find any still existing in hard copy, I'll scan and forward, but I'm not terribly optimistic.
