Question for Hunter 49-50 owners

I'm thinking of making a change to the new Southco cabinet latches. These are the one that our turn to open. I'm have alot of trouble with the pull to open, they tend to stick. Has anyone been able to make these work. I know the newer boats have the turn to open. I wanted to see if the newer ones our holding up and working well.

You will still have trouble if the doors and latches are not properly alined . Plus you will still have latches wither they are push button or turn to open with many delicate small plastic parts that will either where out or just break for no apparent reason. I have about a half dozen on my boat that have quit working properly. I have managed to revive a few but it's like trying to repair an old wind up watch , one slip and things go flying never to be seen again!!
