Looks like mine too - I can't measure it right now as it is in the yard and they lock the gates so we can't enter, and it's only open 2 days a week.

I have a question on my hunter 23. I have water accumulate in the battery compartment. Every time it rains I can have more than 5 gallons.
It is in dry storage so it is strictly rain. I don't know how to post a new thread - if you could also tell me how that happens I would appreciate it!

If you mean the lazarette area under the cockpit. I would first check 1) the drain hose from the cockpit drain to the through-hull on the transom - if that is cracked, or one end is off the fitting, etc. you will fill that lazarette quickly 2) if the cover plate over the drain in the cockpit is covered with leaves or clogged, is the cockpit itself filling with water, and if so, does it get high enough to be above the access cover plate inside where the gas tank goes? While mine has a gasket or o-ring, it still leaks if that cockpit fills. Those are just two obvious checks.
