Coronado Coronado 25 Seattle
Someone I know has sails for a 25 Catalina for sale. I have a 25 foot Coronado. I am relatively new to sailing, and I wondered if these sails would work for my boat since they are the same size.

The sails on the Coronado are quite worn, and apparently the Catalina sails are in quite good condition. But I will have to pay to ship the sails and so I wanted to see if there was an option that they would fit.

Hi I am also new to sailing and I have a Coronado 25. This is proving to be a good boat to learn on. As far as a new main sail you need to know the P, which is the height of the mast and the E which is the width of the boom. Since the boat is over 40 years old both of these may have been replaced and there measurements may be different then original. I think the best advice is to put a measuring tape up your halyard and across your boom and see what you really need. In addition, you need to determine if the boom and mast have baltrope, slug, external slide, or internal slides. Also does your boat have a keel or a center board? This will make a difference too. I am in the same situation. I also have a Coronado 25 keel version. I plan to replace the mail sail. The 'sail warehouse' offers new mainsails for these boats withe OEM dimensions for what I think is a reasonable price. Let me know what you decide and if it works. Thanks

Jeff
