When I bought my Catalina 27 the previous owner handed me a winch which was missing from the cabin top. The winch he said mounted there was the Meissner 18 he handed me, however, the holes in the cabin-top deck don't match the hole pattern for the Meissner winch. I've never heard of Meissner winches. My question is: Is this single speed, non-self tailing Meissner brand winch any good? If I were to install it I'll have to fill and re-drill the holes in the deck and I don't want to go through all that trouble if Meisner winches are junk. Thanks! --Greg
