Purchased here on SBO - of course.

Think I've had the coupling for about two months and this last weekend June 27, finally got it installed. The tide was right and the marina yard lift wasn't being worked overtime.

Got the boat up into the lift about 7:30 in the morning and had the bottom washed while hanging there. Not to bad just some scum and a few barnacles hanging around the bottom the keel. Guess I need to ground myself a little more often.

Got the flange separated from the trans, moved the PYI dripless seal as far as the shaft flange. Initially thought I was going to have to remove the flange but shoved the shaft back and got enough room for the coupling.. The coupling with it's eight bolts was able to slide in with about a 1/4 of inch spare room. Got it bolted to the shaft flange and then had someone on the outside slowly push the shaft back in while I aligned the coupling bolts to the trans flange. After that it was just a matter of tightening every thing down real good.
Got back into the water and immediately noticed the vibration was just about gone with some weird little noise also gone. Real happy with it so far, only put a couple of hours on the motor this weekend. The real test comes this week, leaving for a 10 day trip to the southern part of the Chesapeake Bay.

Cheers...

Have a great trip

I hope you have a great trip and I hope Joan doesn't see another vessel within 20 miles. Fair winds and let us know how it went.
