getting ready to change my pump-out hose which goes from a fitting at the bottom of my tank straight up to deck fitting. Guess the good about this is that you get every last drop but obviously the stuff stays in hose as tank fills. My mercorator pumps from the top with a solid pvc dropping Dow to bottom..... What is one we're to use solid pvc pipe with a small piece of 101/102 or raritan to tie everything together?
As you can see all in picture it would be an easy and clean install and not subject to any flexing

I really think it is OK and have seen some do it here and I think even better than the 101 hose for sure,
but I am sure Head Mistress will give her report soon.
Heading to NY soon for the summer with my RV and lived on LI most of my life in Lindenhurst,Centerreach ,Wading River before moving to Florida in 2008.

Plan A: Use a sched 80 PVC 90 thread-barb tank fitting...cement enough sched 80 PVC pipe to it to reach the top of the tank, then switch to hose to the deck pumpout fitting.

Plan B: Relocate the pumpout fitting to the top of the tank--easy to do using a Uniseal UNISEAL ...use a threaded plug and teflon tape to seal the existing discharge fitting at the bottom of the tank. Make a pickup tube using a piece of sched 40 PVC that's long enough to touch the bottom of the tank plus about 4" (long enough put a hose on it secured with double clamps)...the bottom end should be cut at about a 25 degree angle (any less can trap undissolved solids or TP under it, any more leaves too much in the tank). This does require enough clearance above the tank to be able to insert the pickup tube unless you can remove the tank to do it.

I kept my boat in the Peconic and than my H-36 out in Greenport and had a few friends had boats in Mt Sinai
and raced on Wednesday night on a friends boat named Jim P. and did lots of sailing on the North shore with my H-36 from Greenport and also sailed to Conn. and Block.
We do go to the free concerts in Rocky Point.

Peggie.... for the rest of my piping I was looking at shields poly x. I understand this does not flex to easily but was told that a fiberglass coupling would help with bends. Centek makes couplings for exhaust systems and this is where I was told to get. My question..... is fiberglass smell permeable?
Thanks!

I'd go with Raritan SaniFlex instead Raritan SaniFlex hose Comparably priced, not a single reported odor permeation failure, nor any I've heard about either--in the 7-8 years since Raritan introduced it...and so flexible it bends like a hair pin without kinking, so no couplers needed.

Sounds great! Lastly (great last eords) plugging the bottom, where to get a threaded plug..... Home Depot? Also shouldn't I glue it on to make sure it does not release?? I intend to remove tank and do all this.... beneteau made a nice set-up

You can find PVC threaded plugs in the plumbing department at any good hardware store. Plenty of Teflon tape wrapped around the threads will seal it. Also the best way to seal threaded fittings.
