Ok I made it. First and foremost the design was so simple it confused the h*ll outa me. by the way thanks for all the tech support and phone calls. none the less it was really easy once I grasped the idea. Now all I have left is to wait till the snows gone to try it out , Thanks again

the one question I had is, when the sail is attached to the PVC at the couplers, is the sail pulled tight between the grommets or just pulled tight across the whole luff?

Ideally each one would contribute individually, realistically the tack and head grommets do most of the work.

So secure the head tightly, then attach each grommet securely, but allow for some up/down movement, and attach the tack at the base with enough downward force to pull the whole luff tight? Is it possible to pull it the luff that tight? Usually when raising the jib, I use a winch when almost all the way raised, just to tighten it. Just my last thoughts before I put one toghether this week.
