PVC for Black Water Tank Vents

I'm laying out how the 1" waste tank vents will run, and for the long straight sections, I want to use about 3 feet of PVC pipe. This should make it easier to angle properly and make them function better. The connections between the tank outlets (using uniseals) and the pipe will be short sections of sanitation hose. As I haven't purchased anything yet, I want to make sure I get the proper size pipe.

If I understand this correctly, 1" diameter marine sanitation hose has a 1"ID. Therefore, I'll need PVC pipe w/ a 1" OD, thus I should buy 3/4" pipe. This is because plastic pipe is sized by its ID. I'm pretty sure this is correct but just wanted to get a sanity check. Thanks in advance for the help.

If I understand this, you plan to connect PVC pipe to Hose. Would that not leave the pipe edge exposed inside the hose. If this is an air vent that seems ok, but if this is on the effluent hose, then the pipe edge would be a perfect place for stuff to hang up.

What is going to happen is that the ID of the hose is going to fit (snugly) over the OD of the PVC pipe and would be secured via a hose clamp - just as one would do if it was a bronze, stainless or nylon fitting.

TWO hose clamps are always needed in all sanitation hose connections because one can create a "pucker" in the hose that can leak. The screws should be 180 degrees apart--at least 90 is ok if access makes 180 impossible.
