Putting lower case oil into new Nissan 3.5--How?

I've got a new Nissan 3.5 HP 2 STroke. I need to service the lower case but it seems very messy and requires one to defy gravity> IS there a special fitting or technique to use when you service through the lower hole?

Replacing Oil in lower unit

Jeremiah,I have a new Nissan 3.5 2 stroke also but have not looked at putting oil in the lower unit yet. On previous motors, I removed a lower and upper plug and drained out old oil especially if it was contaminated with water. Then the container on new oil was plastic with a nozzle that I put in the lower hole and squeeze the plastic bottle until oil just came out the upper hole. Then quickly put the lower plug back in first. That is the way I usually do it.

Thanks--That's teh way I did it too--but I thought there has to be a better way. What kinda boat do you have? Mine's a Hunter 170.

Jeremiah,To answer your question.My boat is a Hunter 340. I use the Nissan 3.5 on my Dingy. My boat is at Pamlico Plantation.Photo of my boat attached.
