I think a 4 inch firm foam mattress (45 firmness) would be more comfortable.
Also, sleeping with your heads forward allows comfortable leg positions and is quite cozy (kissy, kissy)

Fine job Douglast. Is that cedar?
yes it is..with pine arborite on the cargo bins, thin mahogany on the shelf/ledge and the wife re-upholstered the cushions and the interior paint is repainted with interlux two part epoxy..

a small rechargeable blue tooth speaker to play tunes from your cell phone. use velcro on the bottom to move it between cabin and cockpit - or take it to shore for a picnic. it is amazing the sound quality the latest of these have.

I have restored 6 boats in the past 11 years... and in all of them I rewired the interior and put all LED lights. However, the camping LED lights they sell at WalMart and Dicks, Gander Mountain etc. have gotten so good that on my next boat I am not going to bother wiring interior lights. Four AA batteries will last more than a season and I will never have to run down an annoying electrical short again. If one dies, I'll spend $5 and go buy a new one. And you can easily place them where ever you want.

Okay so that is 2 cents worth of advice and probably not worth it. :)

Have fun with your restoration

rgranger, you are right on. We did the price match and for one wired LED we have plenty AAA batteries and touch lights. We used them all summer and have yet to replace the batteries. Why go wired?
