We put an offer in on our C34 in 1998 on one piece of paper:"We offer $xxxxx for boat hull #yyyyy, subject to sea trials and survey, with a 10% (refundable) down payment."Both the seller and we signed and dated it, and never had any problems.No matter what you write, there's always the potential hassle of dealing with counteroffers after the initial offer, based on sea trials and the results of the survey. What more can you possibly write up front in an offer that will cover all eventualities?What else do you need?We did this for our C22 in 1982, and our C25 in 1987 as well as this one.I haven't read any offer contracts myself.Good luck, Stu
