I am having trouble pumping out my holding tank in a 2005 350. only 1/4 of tank evacuated although i pumped for a minute after it looked like it was clear. The seacock to the head was closed as per my manual. Has anyone else encountered the same problem?

On my Catalina 30 the vent is in the center of the holding tank and leads to a stanchion for the life line.
Holding Tank Vent Location
The vent is on the hull more or less in line with the the tank deck fitting. Look for a small chrome fitting quite close to to the deck. I sometimes put a hose pipe to it to blow any blockages back into the tank.
