I'm not sure if I have a problem or not??!!
When I attempt a pump out, I only hear air from the air vent, when I put my finger over the vent, I detect a vacuum, but no black water coming thru the pump out hose.
Same on both heads...
I put water down from the deck and I am able to evacute it that, but that's all.
Am I doing something wrong??
Many thanks for your imput.

It's a pretty simple system and your troubleshooting suggests that your "y" valve has you pumping blackwater overboard.

Thanks for responding! Negative...both heads are set for holding tank.
Perhaps I have a blockage in the pipe from holding tank to deck...I am going to try and "snake" out the pipe from the deck down...any other suggestions???
Many thanks!

You may be a little hazy on the "Y" valve concept. That valve determines if you macerate or pumpout, not if you use the holding tank.

try shutting all of your head thru hulls--intake and discharge, then make sure the Y-valve is set to holding tank. If you feel suction at the holding tank air vent, that can only be caused by the pumpout, so the pumpout is at least sucking air out of the holding tank, but you're not getting enoujgh suction to get the blackwater out. The bowl itself should be set to "wet" so the pumpout actaully will draw water thru the bowl, to the holding tank and out through the pumpout
