Pump me up!

I have a H22, 1981. Where do I place the bilge pump? Where do I terminate the hose from the pump? The bilge is so shallow... ...Seth

Good question

The lowest point in the boat is where the drop keel is mounted. Assuming you've found a pumpthat will fit in such a small space. You will have to cut holes in the cabin soles for this installation however. I just use a hand pump.Maybe you could get ahold of a self priming pump. Then you could put the pump under the starboard bunk and run the pic-up to the base of the c/b trunk.

Wet vac??

We have a blige pump in the bilge, it' sticks up a little over the wooden cover that's there, but it works fine. As for the water that builds up below the starboard bunk, I just occasionally wet vac it out. Not much water accumulates down there anyway.dlg

Thanks! Where do you run the exhaust hose when the boat is sitting in the water all week? or do you not keep the pump on?..Seth
