I'm glad to recommend if you'll tell me what you want the pump to pump. Meanwhile you can check out the entire Raritan and Peal Products line (iow, everything we do offer) on the Raritan website at www.raritaneng.com.As for the location of the "Head Healing Hotline"...I think Phil has changed the name of it to "Peggie's Reference Library"... Go to the Head Mistress forum and you'll find it.

I want to pump the holding tank...

so I am looking for a suitable pump (see previous post - pumpordumper). From the discussions thus far it would appear that a diaphram pump would be in order (manual/electric?) Any recommendations would be appreciated, Thanks.

My pump recommendations

Manual: Whale Gusher or comparable Henderson. Electric: SeaLand Overboard discharge pump. You'll pay a little more up front, but you'll spend a fraction over time to repair and maintain compared to less expensive pumps.

How about hose recomendations?

Oops, sorry Peggy, I should've asked you for hose recommendations at the same time.Also, do you folks or someone, make a good device that attaches (screws maybe?) into the deck fitting that I could put on the end of the hose? I saw something in a catalog that may work but was wondering if that is the only thing available.Thanks very much.

Only hose I recommend:

SeaLand "OdorSafe"...it's expensive at $8/ft +...but worth it IMHO. In the 5 years or so that it's been on the market, I've yet to hear of a single case of failure due to odor permeation. I just had my own boat re-hosed with it.SeaLand also offers the screw-in pumpout connectors...give 'em a call at 800-321-9886 to get their Retail Products Guide.
