I need to relaminate my rudder but don't really want to pay for dry storage for the whole month while I do this. The boat is kept in the water year around. Has anyone ever pulled their rudder while in the water. From what I see, my worry would be that passing boat wakes would make water burp into the cockpit. I might just make a temporary plug for the whole to reduce this affect.Anybody see any problem of doing this? I can then take the rudder home to the workshop for a month to get it dried out and relaminated while the boat is not racking up storage charges in the dry yard. The diver x 2 is a lot less expensive than the dry storage.
