The wire coming out of the top side near the mast for my mast light has broken off very near where it comes out of the deck. Does anyone have any advice on how best to repair this. I've tried pulling more wire out, but it doesn't seem to want to budge. Any ideas? Thanks

Mast wiring path

I think I know the path the wire takes. It travels down the ridge in the roof that holds the top of the bulkhead in place. Then it travels long the port rail. I believe the wire is hot glued in place along the path, so It may be pretty hard to free up, unless I can break some of the glue loose..

I will see mine Thursday

We pick our boat up Thursday and I will be able to get a good look at it. I will take some photos and see how it is installed on our 1980 boat. They cut both the light cable and the radio antenna cable on our boat instead of disconnecting them.

Start from the fuse box

I re-wired my 1983 23'from the fuse box to the top of the mast. The interior part was easy pulling the new wire along the port side, up and along the top of the head bulkhead and up to the spot where the wire goes through the deck. As I recall the current thinking is for a different wire gage than was original equipment.
