Puffin needs help

I have a 1958 O'Day Puffin 14' Day sailor that was given to me. It had been behind as barn in a bush for many years and it was in tuff shape. I am looking for any information available on this boat I have already completed a lot of the repairs but the mast is an ols wooden mast nd will need to be remade the problem is a portion of the bottem rotted away so I am not sure of overall mast height and the boom seems low based on the measurements that i have gotten off the parts that I have. Help!!

Mast Rot!

Depending on the amount of "rot", you may be ahead of the game to just cut off the bottom section and refit the mast to the step. If that doesn't work.....are you near any boat yards or yacht clubs? If so, you may be able to locate a suitable replacement at little or no cost. Ofcourse you could always purchase new timber and start fresh.O'Day built a "Widegon" that I think was 13/14' long...One of their masts may work.
