PSS sHAFT SEAL?????

Has anyone had to readjust their PSS seal after 4 years in operation,I noticed today a little water under the seal and when I touched the carbon graghite flange l it started leaking water and also did so when I started the engine and ran it a few minutes.
I called PYI for info and explained what was going on,they said to move in the Stainless steel rotor against the carbon graphite flange about 1/4 inch.
Anyone ever done this.

I hope they told you not to reuse the set screws. If you do, be sure to order a new set and replace them. I readjusted one on another boat. Sometimes it's a matter of not enough compression to begin with. Sometimes motor mounts shift, etc. PS, if you go to their site, you will see they now offer a split shaft retaining collar for a very reasonable price. I think it's a good investment and I had one installed when I put in a new bellows this year (after 10 years and 1200 hours).

They did say to reverse the set screws and I will order the extra collar.
