Fellow sailors.... I have just purchased a 1979 Hunter 30 and am looking to find a used whisker pole for it. Ant thoughts, recommendations on length/diameter for the pole? Thanks, Bob Alden "Summer's Glory"

which we ignored. We ended up buying a 7-17 twist-lock whisker pole that is very clearly marked "For boats less than 25 feet long". Our justification is that we have been using a 14 foot boat hook for 5 years and this is SO much stronger than the boat hook. And hope for the best. Real whisker poles are too expensive for us. We have a 1987 H31.

I have one...
I have one and rarely use it because it is so massive. It adjusts in length and is at least 4" in diameter. I'll measure it and post the info. john.kathrein@woodsource.biz
