I am in the midst of negotiating to purchase a 1988 Hunter Legend 37. The survey has been done and one of the findings is that the bracket for the propellor shaft has a slight twist in it. The Surveyor says it is bent and should be straightened (or replaced), The vendor/broker claim it is intentionally done this way to make the removal of the shaft easier in that the rudder does not need to be removed first.Although I agree with the surveyor that the twist is in need of repair, I have heard of this in other boats.I would truly appreciate any comments. Please feel free to email me directly at entont@pathcom.comAny and all comments are appreciated. Thank you in advance, Ian Carter
