I am owner of Beneteau 32S5(1992) with Volvo 18 HP engine. My folding prop (2 blades)has been trouble free since our purchase last August(approx, 100 hrs)however it has been sticking at times in either direction but would eventuallu lock in gear until a week ago. It will provide reverse thrust but when in forward gear very little thrust. I have checked the prop physically in shallow water and all components are in tack and tight. The prop can be extende or folded manually. I also have checked cables and mounting. Is there any type of clutch adjustment that anyone is aware of. I will appreciate any input. Larry

Grease?

Does your prop have a grease fitting. Our feathering prop requires annual attention. Jeff

Grease is the clue

Those propelers (I have a folding Max prop)rely on the proper type and amount of grease (non-water soluable) to operate corectly - so get the removable grease fitting and do the greasing...
