I have a propane camping 2 burner stove with disposable fuel cylinders, but I wonder if it will get too hot for the plastic galley. Surface Is next to the sink. Any input appreciated. Thanks
Definitely test it.. we had a tabletop stove that literally started blasting out flames from the control knob.. my new rule is to use anything that produces fire several times off the boat before using it on the boat.
I would not set the stove, and I am assuming it is portable, on plastic counter IF it does not have legs. Consider placing it on a small table with legs like this.
Looks cozy - but those exposed bolts on the ceiling scare me. If it were my boat I'd figure out a way to cover them or make them flush and smooth. Bloody scalps are no fun.
I have several camping propane stoves and I wouldn't worry about using any of them inside the cabin with the hatches open. My favorite one for the cabin is my butane stovetop, it's very low profile and doesn't get too hot and you see many other sailors using them inside their boats.
