Propane locker

when using 20lb steel propane cylinders corrosion is not a factor, as there are so many places that do exchanges, that a cylinder is never in the locker long enough to become corroded beyond use.
and as long as a person checks their system once in awhile for leaks, which is easy to do, propane is a reasonably safe gas to use..... and as long as there are no leaks, its absolutely as safe as any other bottled gas you could use....

keep in mind that a leaking CNG system still has every potential to blow up the boat if there is an ignition source... just because it is lighter than air, doesnt mean it has an avenue of escape, it only means the explosion will be more concentrated near the top of the cabin, rather than in the bilge... is there any consolation in that?

so many boats dont have proper ventilation for moisture and condensate to escape, let alone any dangerous gases to escape...

and keep in mind that a leaking gas system can kill you without an explosion....

they are both explosive gases so no matter what type you use, dont get complacent thinking you are safe from any danger, and neglect the system....
