My propane ran out at the end of last season and since I have a 1998 Beneteau 352, the tank doesn't have the required safety valve, which means I have to buy a new propane tank. However, I once again forgot to pull it out and measure it:evil:...does anyone know off-hand what size tank a 1998 Beneteau 352 has??

Take a look at the fiberglass models that are available. They have transparent sides that allow you see how much propane remains in the tank. They're much cheaper than aluminum as well. I got mine through an on line RV store for apx $80 plus shipping.

A propane/gas dealer can put the new valve on your old tank.

Ron, I tried last year to find a propane dealer to change the valve on an aluminum 10lb tank. The O Ring in the valve had a cut in it which allowed a small, but unacceptable leak. I tried several places in Baltimore as well as the Phila area without success. At least for those I contacted nobody wanted the liability. That's when I bought the fiberglass tank.

They are the standard 10lb size. I purchased mine from West Marine. I think it was approx. $170 shipped

I also heard it was near impossible to find someone to replace the valve. I was also told, given the cost of the replacement, just buy a new tank. Shopping on the RV sites for a 10lb tank does seem cheaper than WM.
