Hi All,
I am re-wiring my boat and will need a new propane detection system. I currently have a Safe-T-Alert model and it appears to be kaput. Before spending money on a new sensor or sending it out for repair I figured I'd pole the crew.
Here are my questions.
1- What propane detection system do you have?
2- Is it reliable?
3- How do you know it is reliable?
4- Have you tested it any other way than just hitting the test button to know whetehr it is actually still sensing propane?
For brands I know of Xintex, Trident and Safe-T-Alert, any others I missed? I want the LP panel in the galley with an on/off switch for the solenoid so my wife does not have to go to the main panel when she is done with the stove and the Safe-T-Alert will not do this..
So before I plunk down my $$$, what's been reliable for you?
P.S. Sorry, I know, propane detection is boring stuff but we all need it.....
