Prop Upgrade Worth it?

Hello all,I have a 1981 Cat. 30 TR. It has the Universal 54-11 diesel engine. The boat has the original 2 blade prop (specs. unknown). My question is, is it worth upgrading the prop? What kind of differences should I see? My major coplaint with the engine is speed. On flat water it seems OK (tops out around 6 knots), but into any kind of seas and it plumits. Would upgrading the prop help? Or do I just need more power? Any suggestions on the kind of prop, size, and pitch would be greatly appriciated.
