My 1990 Hunter 33.5 was damaged in Hurricane Frances and I now have her up on the hard for repairs. I am considering replacement of the factory bronze prop shaft with k-monel. Does anyone know of a supplier I can get a price from? Shaft is 1" x 48" I think.

Hunter will sell you new shafts (with the coupling) at a very reasonable cost. give the factory a call

Any decent prop shop

Will give you a price, and either recondition or replace the coupler. Coupler probably not damaged. Ask around for the best place - boat yards will know as will commerical operators (tour boats tear up a lot props in thin water). Mine was done in 2 days locally. (Take the old one in)
