Prop shaft

My bronze prop shaft is sliding out of my A4 bushing. I used a allen key set screw but it won't hold in in during reverse. Should I try a pin head square head set screw ?

Dear Selwin, I do not understand what you are referring to as a bushing. Do you mean coupling? If you are referring to the coupling I would not use a set screw because you will set the shaft off center to the coupling causing severe vibrations. If the coupling is not properly fir to the shaft I would consider purchasing a new one and having it machined to match the current shaft. Hope this helps. Kevin
