Hi John Do you happen to have the fax number for Vega Marin. I attempted to contact Vega Marin by E-mail last week about some spares and replacement parts and received no response. Jim Villa - Vega #3228

Dear Vega friends,

I donot want to "meddle' into your affairs. However, I
have some (20 years ) experience with my propellor shaft. Years ago it was
leaking like hell. The reason was the the original Simmerings
were dented into the copper propellor shaft.

It was then replced in my 1972 Vega by a stainless steel
shaft, so that the wear and tear of the
enclosure would not dent the shaft again. That
helped. It only leaked still a bit.

That seems to be the evil habit of this
construction of a double moving shaft.

Yes the fax no. for Vega Marin AB is still
011-46-31-29-2449.
You are right, the email address does not seem to
work. When I ordered stuff in November, I asked Vega Marin if they
still had email, but they did not answer.
As I mentioned in my note to this group on Dec. 4, Vega marin
sends prices of items by fax, when you enquire. But when you place an
order they do not notify you that it is being shipped. My order in
November took 3 weeks to get to the local post office, which is pretty
good.

Hi John: Thank you for kindly supplying the fax number for Vega Marin. I assume that you communicated in English and that this worked out well for you. Lastly, if this is not a prying question, is one able to use a credit card as the web site implies to effectuate payment and currency conversion? Our Vega could really use a few replacement items of OEM supply. Of lesser importance, I would be delighted to get my hands on a Vega Combi drive decal. All you can see on ours is a faded half moon decal on which the neutral position is still faintly outlined. It would be slick to reproduce one or to obtain an original OEM decal. Thanks again John....this is a very helpful group of people and it's a pleasure to be on board with this group. Jim

Hi all!!

I need a new prop shaft to my Vega 1307. I still have the Volvo Penta MD6A and the former
owner cut the prop shaft in two......

Does anyone have an idea where I can buy a new prop shaft?
