Have a 1990 Beneteau Moorings 38. The rubber prop shaft seal is leaking. Local marina is not too familiar with metric stuff. Don't know where to get a replacemant seal. Wants to replace it with a non-metric seal. Anyone out there know anything about this? Is a PIY Inc. PSS seal a good thing?

PSS Dripless

Chuck, I've had two PSS Drippless seals, one on my old First 32, and one on my 321 currently. They don't drip a drop, and in my opinion are a better way to go than the Volvo-type lip seal. Search the archives for a previous discussion on this topic for more info. Fair winds, Tim _/)

Dripless Shaft Seal

Chuck, Tula my boat also has a PSS dripless seal and the bilge is always totally dry. Never had a drop of water thru the seal since the former owner installed it. Love it. While you have your boat hauled out, you might just as well put on a Maxprop folding prop, folding it gives me almost a knot most of the time. Capt. Peter
