Have a bent prop shaft on my c-30 1979 model and would like to replace it in the water. Anyone have experience in this area that could offer advise? Also, Catalina no longer sells the shaft. Does anyone know of a supplier?
With my luck, something would glitch and I would sink the boat. Why not have it hauled and refurb the entire drive train, i.e. new cutlass bearing, replace the shaft boot, and repack the stuffing box. Then you should be trouble free for years to come.
