Prop Shaft Removal

I'm getting ready to pull the Combi and MD6A out. I have the manual for the Combi and it talks about stripping it, however I just want to remove the prop shaft and leave the Combi attached to the engine. What all do I need to do to release the shaft? It's out of the water so no worries of loosing the shaft and prop. Thanks

Hi Ric

Cant be done, take the chance to renew the combi parts whilst you are stripping the gear apart. Not expensive and a sod of a job to do later on....

Believe me, take this chance to recondition the combi. Check teh control shaft for signs of wear at teh same time.

The Combi and MD6A are not going back into the boat. I need to dismantal for removal only, although I am selling the engine and Combi together for spares so I don't want to damage anything.

If you are not reusing the shaft saw it off with an angle grinder just aft of
the combi
