Prop shaft removal

This question is for Catalina 320 owners. Does anyone know if the propeller shaft can be removed - without removing the rudder. Of course after the propeller, cutlass bearing, and coupler are removed. Once all that is done, will the shaft exiting the hull tubing and strut, clear the rudder?

Well, I have the answer to my question. You have to drop the rudder.
After disconnecting the coupler - I tried to slide back the prop shaft- but as it reached the rudder, it could not go any further. Any force would put too much stress on the strut. Although I expected this, I was hoping to avoid the extra cost of boatyard work.
