Shaft Cost
Hello Jack, I do not have any prints on overall lengths of the shaft but we can help you with taper dimensions if you are in need of that. You stated $600.00 plus for a shaft cost. If the shaft is apx. 4 feet long the cost for an AQ22 material, which is far superior then a 316L, will be apx. $320.00. A $600.00 shaft 1” would apx. 13 feet long. Most shops capable of handling propeller shafting would likely sell AQ 19 or 22 material and not the 316L. The 316L is not as good of a material as a 19 or 22 on many points. Biggest being the corrosion resistance a 19 or 22 offers. If it were me I would use the 22, which is reflected in the above $320.00 cost. Good luck. Kevin
