Prop Shaft Bracket loose

There is about 7 millimeter sideway play on my prop shaft bracket (First 310, 1992 vintage). Seems to be a void. Anyone out there with similar experience and recommendations how to fix (fill void with epoxy, etc. ?)

Are you measuring play in the strut bearing or the strut that holds it or something else - I'm not clear?

You probably refer to the P-bracket that holds the cutlass bearing.
There should be zero side play
I had such side play in my previous boat after taking a rope around the prop
If this is the case just filling the void is not enough
You have to re-strengthen the p-bracket into the hull with polyester layers

thanks Don & msade, it's the p-bracket and It's being reset by the boat yard.
