prop pitch

My Vega has a Vetus engine and a 3 blade prop, any ideas on proper
pitch? I think I am over pitched now because i get quite a bit of
black smoke at high revs. Thanks

Hi

The prop reccomended for teh Vega using a Beta 13.5Hp with 2:1 reduction and
rpm of 3600 id a 12x8 3-blade prop so it should be similar. With this
configuration I get full revs and just over.
