Is there any anti-fouling paint available for the prop and shaft that is specifically designed for that purpose? I like to leave the boat in the water for two season without hauling, but the barnacle growth on the prop just forces a haul to clean it otherwise there is just no effectivness left in the prop.

What about copper electro-plating?

Seems like electro-plating would last longer than paint.Nah, too simple of a solution. It must have been tried and doesn't work... Just thinking out loud.

I have applied two coats of BoShield (available at West Marine) to my prop for the last several years and we remain baranacle free (this even included a 9 month trip to The Bahamas). Best to apply the two coats atleast a week apart.Bud
