prop guard installed on a 6H.P. Tohatsu.

Hints. : This guard purchased here, (as was the one I put on my previous motor). On this motor, it has to be installed UNDER the horizontal plate because the motor body above the plate is to wide for correct fit. You will also find that you can`t use the forward predrilled holes as the screwheads would be hard up against the housing. Just drill your own holes.

Next project is bunk guides on the trailer, just as soon as I figure out how to get it in the kitchen door and down the steps.

What have you noticed as the real benefit of this prop guard? Do you get better thrust?

The only advantage I`ve seen is protection for the rudder. When I put one on the last boat (4 H.P. Yamaha), I saw no improvement power wise.
