Nice job

I might be a little worried about the stability of the pine(it is pine right?) framing as it will likely move based on temperature and moisture content. Looks very nice though. Tim R.

Did you build in any ventilation?

Nice work but be sure that it is ventilated so that it will keep.

Nice

I agree, nice job. The four pictures does make it look easy, like even I could do it. What did you use for the top and front, is that Starboard?

Looks like fir studs

Pine is typically more of an orange color. Studs that you buy from a home center are usually kiln dried fir.

Fiberglass

The small bulkhead and the hanging locker were already in place with fiberglass. This side was the easiest as far as constructing the settee. The port side is under construction now. We are going to have to glass in a new bulkhead for it to attach too. The galley will also attach to that and then "L" around the aft of the cabin. We are going to glass in two fixed bulkheads at the aft of the cabin and make the center removable for engine access. Add to all this the fact that we are rewiring the boat, moving the dc panel, adding a dc panel, adding shorepower and panel, adding pressure water system, making our MSD pump-outable, and adding airconditioning, and we have a bit of work still before us. Aw, to heck with it, let's go sailing instead!
