Project c22.

I picked up this little project c22 a few days ago. Here's a few pics after a pressure wash and initial clean of the cabin.

It's a complete boat, but is in need of a mainsail. The old one is badly weathered. I will keep posting pics as I proceed

Great cleanup result! I would never have guessed that all that crud could be removed with a power washer. Nice find.

I agree, nice find. I had a 1981, #10496. What's your hull #? Looks in fine shape. Don't know what you know about C22s. Ideas: C22 has tons of stuff on the web - their own Association website and Mainbrace, a written/posted newsmagazine, plus a few skippers who have their own websites with really great stuff. Pat Royce's excellent book Sailing Illustrated, lots of C22 stuff but a great all around sailing stuff book. Sleeping on board: build a fiddle of plywood to slip into the space between the dinette and the galley - the walkway - and make that a big double bed. The dinette cushions cover that area perfectly..

Try Spray Nine and Magic Erasers for the dirt that wont come off. The erasers will dull gelcoat if you use it often. Any plans to make the side of the hull look better?

FSR would be the right goop for this, followed by a good wax.
