Achilles

I bought my achilles in 1990. I leave it in the water (bottom painted) each summer. I leave it in my cellar fully inflated upside down on saw horses in the winter. It is still going strong!! I replaced the floorboards at about half the life (made them myself). I am a firm believer in Hypalon and in Achilles quality. best regard dave

Similiar problem

My 1996 Zodiac FastRoller 285 experienced a 6" separation of the bottom from the tubes right at the bow. Over this past winter, I re-glued the bottom and the inside tabs from the bow back to the main side tubes on each side. No further problem so far this year. Rich

French is Right But USMC Approved

I have to agree they are French but we have been using them in the Marine Corp for many years, normally with 50 caliber machine guns on them. I must say they are more than effective in the mood we use them in, however they do require much maintance and of course... they must have been the lowest bidder!! Go with what you know and enjoy it no matter what!!
