PROBLEMS-NEW RAYMARINE WIND SENSOR

I have a 1997 HUNTER 430, with autohelm equip. Had to replace the wind sensor with a new RAYMARINE transducer that is said to be adaptable to the autohelm readout.It reads out but the wind direction is reversed and I have been unable to correct it with the usual alignment procedures suggested in the manual. Also note that the wind speed is registering high. I have contacted raymarine and talked with one of their tech people. Got directions on how to correct it based on the ST series which doesn't work on my autohelm 50 series. So I have a wind indicator that reads highby about 30% and points 180% in reverse.ANY HELP! check connections

I would suggest checking your wiring connections. It may not be the culprit, but you could have a couple of leads reversed either inside a junction box, or at the instrument head itself. Stranger things have been known to happen.
