Problem with propeller leakage

I am a good car mechanic but don't know much about boats...
I got this problem with a leeking propeller shaft, filling up w grease
solves the problem for the day when I take it out but I have to keep
filling it up w grease all the time so it looks like a need to change
the o-rings etc? I hope you can help me:
a) whats parts do I need?
b) where can I get the parts?
c) where can I get the instructions on how to do the job?

I'm glad to see you here, and I have a question about the stuffing box (I have 2, and a few weeks ago I changed and installed one), but now I need parts.
When I changed from the combi, I kept the stuffing (boxes).
I have the Albin 0-21 catalog. I need the bush (49192) and the two Seal rings (52802-156)
By the way- my stuffing box lasts about 3 to 4 years, so there is no hurry. But I do like to have the spare (second one) ready. Do you have these parts?

Hi Wilhelm

The stuffing box I know from the Vega has the following parts:

2 x 25mm Lip seals
2 x 25mm White metal Bearings (Split)

If the 021 is the same as the Volvo diesel setup (I think it is) then not a problem. Plenty in stock.

John, does your grease leak out of the prop hub or further up the shaft by the combi gearbox? Is the grease turning white (mixing with water?) I may have the same problem. Would like more details about your situation. I am hoping that Steve's combi reno kit is going to solve the problem. Hi Steve;
My 'spare' stuffing box has 2 silvery bush- I have those. But I would like to get 4 rubber seals (those with the metal spiral inside). Please give me details about ordering.
