Problem at top of forestay on Furlex 200S

Late last season I started having trouble beating up wind, the headsail would start to thrash rhythmically. At the time I tried adjusting tension without success. My sailmaker had to do a minor stitching repair on the headsail but reported everything else seems fine with it. Now that I've launched the boat for another season I managed to get drone photographs of the top of the foerstay and it has me scratching my head. I can't find any part in the Furlex manual or parts catalog resembling what appears to be broken. Maybe there's an extra part that Hunter used with the Selden mast, a white plastic spacer or bushing or something? The boat is a 2004 and the broken part is directly above the top guard and below the forestay terminal. It looks to be white plastic. Before I go up there I was hoping someone might be able to identify what I am seeing. Three photos attached, from different angles.
