Does anyone know of a reference that could tell me the original price of my boat (1986 E28) (list price or whatever)? (As if i really wanted to know) Or, for any model or year of Ericson for that matter. signed, just curious
I own a 1978 E30-II. I am the second owner. The original owner paid $13,000 American dollars for it new. Twenty two years later I paid him the exact same amount to relieve him of possession and make it mine. Arturo
I have a copy of the dealer's price list for a '76 E-23. Besides the price of the boat itself ($6510) there are 54 other optional items listed, including a trailer at $1650. Wonder what one would cost today...
Yeah! In checking with USAA (I'm looking at an '87 E34) they don't have an original suggested retail for it, but for a 'comparable' Catalina or Morgan, the prices are most as much for a 20 year old boat as the "suggested" retail originally was. Of course this is tempered by options, local demand, boat condition and so forth, but...a person buying new 20 years ago can essentially get his money back (minus expenses and taxes of course). Not bad for 20 years of great memories. So I'll take that into consideration with my offer.
In 1989 your 1986 Ericson Universyle 10 7500 lb 4 ft draft Ericson was: 36,600. low, 40,700 high "Fair Market Value" that's as far back as my books go. today, low 23,800 high 26,400. These can be adjusted for: area, condition and equipment.
