A few years back, I was given a Rhodes 19, which had previously sat in dry storage for a number of years. "Gift" in this case meant lots of time, effort, and money, to reverse the effects of years of neglect, but I digress...
I am about to refloat this old lady (early 60's manufacture, hull number 661), and I'm thinking the best way to celebrate her re-launch is a christening. However, I have heard that to rename a boat without honoring her previous name and history is to invite bad luck.
So I'm looking to research her history. I have heard that ODay kept only sporadic records of boat manufacture or original owners, so I am hoping to find some information about how to get started in this research.
How would I go about finding information on this boat?
TIA,
Jim
