Anyone have any suggestions on a product that would work to prevent the non skid part of the gel coat from becoming chalky. I have heard the Island Girl non skid wax is sticky. I'm thinking the non skid waxes out there are attempting to provide grip, rather than avoid gel coat oxidation. Thanks a bunch fo any input.

They have changed the IG formula.

Mike: They have changed the Island Girl formula. They have also improved their instructions for application of the product. Island Girl is one of the few products that will actually help remove the chalk from the non-skid and treat the surface. Once you have cleaned the surface you can use their non-skid product to seal the surface which help prevent the surface from further chalking. Aurora also makes some products for the non-skid. The problem with many of the products on the maket is that they only last a few weeks. IG non-skid treatment is actually two products (cleaner and a sealer). If you have any questions I suggest that you call Jim and discuss his products.
