prevalence of hull blistering..

How suceptable are Vegas to hull blistering?
Has anyone on this board had blisters and if so, was it a light, medium, or heavy case?

Hi Roy

I ahve surveyed over 100 Vegas and only ever found small blistering
(about 1 foot square) on a Vega that had been in the Medeterrean for 15
years withoiut coming out at any time.... Osmosis is not a problem with
teh Vega.

Not very. Lyric has had a few (5). There are two different kinds of
blisters. Gel coat and Laminate. Lyric had laminate blisters. The weird
thing about the blisters was that they were right below the waterline and
only on the side of the hull that was in the sun while docked. they were an
easy fix.

I recently stripped the bottom right to the gelcoat. No blisters
anywhere.

Thanks, that's very good news.
I'm about to haul Good Things for bottom painting.
I wanted to haul it before the winter, but could not due to issues witht the marina.
